Buttercup Rear Shocks (KSI)
100% handmade shocks built to match your riding style and weight at off-the-shelf shock prices; Killer Shocks Buttercup Shox use an internal Rezy system and are engineered to provide maximum control at a very cost-effective price, with each shock handmade specifically for the individual rider and bike using a patent-pending design that takes your riding style and bike setup to maximize your potential—Killer Shocks use patented buttercup technology to deliver an unsurpassed ride experience, keeping you ahead of other riders while mastering twisty roads without sacrificing long-range comfort, and the internal reservoir system maintains high comfort with minimal performance sacrifice at an affordable price; we measure in inches because our parts are made in the USA, using American-sourced metal and in-house machining, and when you buy from Killer Shox you buy manufacturer-direct—not “designed in USA” but actually made elsewhere—because we design it, machine it, and hand-build it for your bike (Chinese parts on your Harley? Don’t be that guy with a China-made American flag);
Installation notes: longer-than-stock shocks may require modification—check your bike—we recommend 13-1/2” for most applications, though you’re free to choose (parts are available if you later want to change length); Touring 2013–2017 models with 14-1/2” or longer shocks cause the swingarm to hit the transmission, other Touring models usually contact over 15-1/2”, all Nightsters over 15” cause swingarm-to-gas-tank contact and over 14” the stock exhaust hits the shock bolt, and on Dyna models shocks longer than 13-1/2” allow the chain to drag on the case.
