Hi-Flo ZX Fork Cartridge
No need to buy new inner tubes to lift your bike, the Hi-Flo ZX Fork Cartridge includes a lift kit for added ground clearance. The best part of the Hi-Flo cartridge is how it keeps your front end glued to the road. The Hi-Flo not only solves your handling problems, it also improves your ride quality and comfort. Everything about every other cartridge is now obsolete. The Patent Pending design of the new Hi-Flo takes motorcycle fork cartridges to the next level of performance. PLUS, you can select +1, +2 or +3 inches longer fork caps so you can raise your bike without having to buy new fork tubes. The Hi-Flo cartridge is easy to install and adjust and includes a preload adjuster cap along with several tuning springs that allow you to dial in the ride you want. The Killer Shox Hi-Flo ZX Fork Cartridge piston area is almost four times greater (3.97x) than other shock pistons, meaning more area for better fluid control. Cartridges designed for 400-lb bikes might save weight and work fine on a smaller motorcycle, but what happens when that tiny piston is overwhelmed on a 700-lb motorcycle? The Killer Shox Hi-Flo ZX Fork Cartridge runs in both legs with full rebound and compression damping and full springs in both legs. Many other fork kits cheap out and only give you a one-legged dampener unit, making the right side fork ride differently than the left and causing twist under stress. Other cartridges split compression and rebound between legs, which can twist the fork under load. That might work on a 390-lb bike, but big bikes over 600 lb need big pistons balanced across both legs. Bigger bikes need bigger suspension. The big distributors may say small pistons work fine or that you only need valving in one tube, but larger bikes require larger suspension components. Killer Shox are made in the USA, not overseas. Some companies advertise a 22mm piston to make it sound large, but that is only 0.866 inches and equals 0.5891 square inches of piston area. Killer Shox uses a 1.725 inch piston which equals 3.337 square inches, nearly four times the area. Even competitors using 25mm pistons only reach 0.984 inches, still far smaller than the Killer Shox Hi-Flo unit. Killer Shox measures in inches because the parts are made in the USA. The metal is sourced from American companies and all machining is done in house. When you buy from Killer Shox you buy manufacturer direct. Many companies rely on overseas manufacturing partners, sometimes labeled as “designed in USA,” which often means produced overseas. Killer Shox designs, machines, and hand builds the suspension specifically for your bike in the United States.
Fitment: to confirm compatibility with the Hi-Flo ZX Fork Cartridge, measure the upper fork tube. It should measure slightly less than 2 inches and more than 1-3/4 inches, approximately 1.96 inches or 49mm.
