No imports. No compromise.
Three adjustments. One compact layout.
A compact piggyback reservoir keeps the hardware together. Dial in compression, rebound and spring preload without a separate reservoir mount.
Made in the USA. Buy direct from the factory.
HARDWARE AND ADJUSTMENT
- Compact piggyback reservoir
- Compression, rebound and spring preload
Part family: KS-JP.
YOUR ADJUSTMENTS, EXPLAINED
- Compression: adjust the damping that resists the shock compressing.
- Rebound: adjust the damping that controls the shock extending after compression.
- Spring preload: adjust the initial spring compression to set sag for the load.
CHOOSING YOUR SETUP
Match the shock to your bike, mounting arrangement and desired ride height. Longer-than-stock shocks require clearance checks through the full suspension travel. A listed bike family alone does not confirm compatibility with a specific model, year or modified motorcycle.
Application requirements
Match the shock length and mounting arrangement to your exact bike. Check clearances through full suspension travel when changing ride height.
Factory setup notes
Length changes. Clearance matters.
Check clearance through the full suspension travel whenever shock length changes. The notes below identify contact risks; they are not a list of approved applications.
Touring
For 1980–2027 Touring applications, stock swingarms can contact the transmission above the year-specific shock lengths below. These longer setups require swingarm modification:
- 2014–2016
- Over 13.5 inches (14 inches and longer)
- 2002–2013 / 2017
- Over 14.5 inches (15 inches and longer)
- 2018–2027
- Over 15.5 inches (16 inches and longer)
1980–2001 Touring models need an individual clearance check. A shorter shock or a different model year does not automatically establish compatibility.
Dyna
For 1991–2017 Dyna applications, shocks longer than 13.5 inches can cause chain contact. Check the actual drivetrain and swingarm clearance on your bike.
Nightster
For 2022–2027 Nightster applications only. Shocks longer than 14 inches may let the shock bolt hit the stock exhaust; 14.5 inches and longer require exhaust modification. Shocks longer than 15 inches allow the swingarm to hit the gas tank; 15.5 inches and longer also require a modified swingarm or gas tank.
Sportster
Fits twin-shock Sportster applications from 1982–2021. Sportster S is excluded. The owner’s sheet does not specify a stock shock-length clearance limit for this family; the shop must confirm the selected length, mounts and clearance.
FXR
Some FXR installations require swingarm modification. Confirm the actual swingarm and mounting arrangement; this note does not establish supported model years.
Do not ride with component interference. Have the complete installation checked by a qualified motorcycle technician. These notes do not replace the product’s application requirements.
